It is finally here! The debut album release of lush sounds, vocals and rhythms, from Leute With Intent! After a regular weekly meet-up in 2014 (with two or three collaborators popping along the way), this is the result of the quartet’s labour:
Our fourth release is now out, as the Turtlez duo return with a two track EP of the highest quality. If you haven’t heard about it then you must have been hiding from the winter chill, as the hype train has been chugging along for this, with a number of international radio big-ups and known DJ’s dropping it in their recent sets in Berlin and further a field! As per usual, it is available to purchase on all good download stores, stream-able on your preferred service or if YouTube is your thing then check out our slick new moving images:
After hearing his fine reworking of the first ‘Things With Wings’ release on Skrufix, they practically snapped his hands off in their eagerness for a fresh original track of his own.
Thankfully his hands didn’t become completely detached and he was able to put together the deceptively wonky tech-house tune ‘Walk In Stomp’!
Having worked with countless other producers and bands over the years he is certainly no novice. MightyHor has honed his production style for a number of years now, and throughout his experiments with different styles and influences has remained a master of driving synths and bass.
Completing the package is a remix of ‘Walk In Stomp’ by The Crane, who featured on the label’s last release as a member of production duo Turtlez. Crane is a regular DJ at Skrufix’s Berlin parties and a prolific producer who puts his hand to pretty much any style one could ask for (and a few which nobody ever requested at all): his danceably chopped up 2-step version is an absolute gem.
Fancy having a go at remixing Things With Wings’ track “Scurrd”?
We’ve just released the stems for it under a Creative Commons Attribution license. That means you can use the parts in your productions in whatever way you want (including commercial use). All we ask is that if you make something wonderful – that you consider sending it to us. We’d love to hear what people make, and it may even be something for a future Skrufix release. The remix parts can be downloaded from Soundcloud.
